Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! We never have enough straps, and these ones work great. The handles are very comfortable to use and makes tightening/loosening them easier. They have held tight while using them, and we will continue to purchase this brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome tie downs We love these SmartStraps D -Handle padded tie downs. The are ridiculously easy to attach and we have had zero issues with the straps twisting. They ratchet down quickly and easily and release just as easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Well These worked well, stayed tight, didn't bind up or get stuck, and were easy to use. I love the orange because I could make sure they were in place by just looking in my rearview mirror. I love that they have the velcro strap to roll them up for storage but it also gets in the way when tightening if you have the strap fully extended, just something to consider.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty Straps My husband love these straps. He's used lots of ratchet straps over the years and always has the same complaints. They twist, they bunch, they don't release properly, they don't grip properly. I haven't heard him say that with these yet! I guess they're working out! They're heavy duty and very bright orange. They grip right the first time with no slipping. They are very durable metal and the D-Handle is awesome. Even I can release these straps, My husband thinks that's the best part! We used these to haul some new furniture home and they worked perfectly the first time with no frustration and they held great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work These are high quality and I like the bright color so I can find them easily in my trunk or bed of the truck. These seem like they will hold up well. I'm not sure about using the package as storage again, but maybe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding product My husband keeps these in his truck and has used them for numerous jobs including tying down his arc on his trailer. He said they’re the best ratchet straps he has used. They hold well, have non marring hooks, and are easy to operate and don’t hurt your hands. Will definitely be recommending them to friends

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use straps I do a lot of moving and towing. It’s hard to find ratchet straps that are easy to release. These smart straps are great. The d-handle design makes it east to release the load. Just a great design and easy to use. The ratchet is smooth. Highly recommended.

How do I loosen the strap to remove and reuse it? Nothing I've tried has enabled me to loosen the webbing. Any directions for that? There must be a way to loosen it.

Asked by: MyFunnyFumblebum
I solved my own problem. It wasn't that I was not using the correct release mechanism. It's that I had misused the webbing since I DIDN"T LOOK AT THE MANUAL. Once I LOOKED AT THE MANUAL, it became clear to my befuddled mind how to proceed. The webbing had become jammed on the tensioner axle because I re-threaded the loose end back into the wrapping around the axle, since I DIDN"T LOOK AT THE MANUAL. All is well now, and I am chagrined.

How do you operate. I have a new model #4560 with a safe load of 1,000 # and a break strength of 3,000 #.. It is described as a 14' heavy duty ratchet tie down.

Is the strap length 14 feet and then add xx" for the ratchet end? Thanks Derrick

Can you safely strap a vehicle (2,500 lbs) to a vehicle trailer using these 4 straps together? Thanks.

My strap has come off the Ratchet.  How do I get it reconnected properly?

Asked by: Chris86

Do you have a video showing how to operate #140 strap? Getting it to release to full extension is a super pain. So far I'm not impressed.

Asked by: smudge

Are these straps rated at 1k lbs each or is that 1k for all 4 straps together?
